A vacation based at Colonial Pointe can be whatever you want it to be. 

If you want peace and relaxation, the islands and their beaches are perfect for that.  Beautiful white sand with space for everyone, even at holiday periods, and warm water to splash around in to your heart's content.  This part of Florida is less developed than most, and still has many wild places where you can walk for miles and enjoy the scenery & wildlife.  You would never dream you are in the same state as Disneyworld & Miami.

But if you or your family need more to do, this area is perfect for that too, for adults and children alike.  There plenty of places to go to occupy enquiring minds, and you can boat & fish to your hearts content.  Fort Myers Beach is where the organised beach sport is - parasailing, volleyball, etc.  You can do longer trips - to the Keys by boat for instance.  And within a 2 hour drive there is much more than you could ever do in one vacation - the Everglades, Busch Gardens, Sarasota and Naples, wonderful aquaria, Arcadia's rodeo, and top class sport aplenty.
